Our department offers an innovative approach to teaching which combines the necessary theoretical knowledge with practical hands-on and industry experience. We offer undergraduate degree with students able to specialise in electrical machines, signal processing, telecommunications, control theory, electromagnetics and microwave or electronics. There are numerous laboratories and research units where both undergraduate and graduate programs can be applied in our department. The laboratories have sufficient physical area and technical equipment to improve the practical skills of our students.

Our department sees itself as a research-strong department which is committed to theoretical and applied research in designated areas, provides research services at the highest national level, and promotes interdisciplinarity cooperation in research and teaching. With the research projects funded by different authorities, we hire MSc and PhD students to improve their research abilities and their skills. Main high level research areas of our department consist of signal and image processing, electromagnetic field and wave theory, electrical machines and power electronics.

The aim of the program is to educate and train mechanical engineering students who will embrace the basic engineering notion, know the requirements of industry and improve him/herself to comply with these requirements, using the contemporary knowledge, follow the advances in technology and have ethical wisdom when they graduate. Our graduates are in academic and scientific studies in national or international universities and research institutions, serve in engineering, research and development, operational and managerial positions in national and/or international companies.

The aim of the program is to train sciencetist who can -deepen the information gained in B.Sc. education and make the practical use of them; -improve the abilities of analyse, synthesis and judgemental evaluation in order to solve complex problems independently; -design a process or a system by using modern design methodologies and tools. Our graduates can take part in research activities in many national or international universities and research instititues as well as working in many national and international companies as engineers, managing directors and CEOs.
