U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

We deliver particularly strong research outputs in the field of political philisophy and theory. Some of our staff members are specialised in political leadership, governance and public administration. Another strength of our research lies with dimensions of post-communist transformation, Central and East European political systems, European comparative politics and Euro-scepticism. Apart from publications in various domestic and international journals and books, we edit and publish our own online journal called Political Science Online.

Students have a limited choice of economic and social science courses as most credits are gained from advanced and specialised courses in political science. 30 credits are devoted to designated courses which belong to one of two specialisations: 1) a theory-oriented specialisation (political theory), which can naturally lead up to PhD-programmes and/or academic research; 2) a practical specialisation, focusing on various aspects of public affairs - a discipline, which deals with both the interfaces and the interactions of public and private actors and institutions.
