U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Both at Bachelor’s level and Master’s level two specialization are available within the Chemical Engineering course, namely Engineering of Technological Processes (ETP) and Renewable Energy Sources (RES). The main emphasis in both specialization is on teaching methods for quantitative description, mathematical modelling and experimental verification. ETP focuses on studying universal design and research tools that may be applied in various chemical and petrochemical technologies, as well as environmental protection issues. RES focuses on studying alternative energy sources.

The scientific and research activities conducted at Civil Engineering Faculty are closely linked to the requests and priorities of the national economy. A lot of research subjects are investigated in cooperation with industry. A significant part of research activities is addressed to business enterprises. Our experts conduct diagnostic investigations of building materials and products. They introduce modern structural repair and strengthening methods, investigate the influence of mining tremors on engineering structures and deal with protection schemes against such tremors.
