U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The structure of the degree course and a very wide range of electives and fields of study allow for flexible and individualised study. Modern teaching methods (such as blended learning) are also used. The degree course contains a lot of practical relevance and is deepened by the choice of a focus, by a practical semester, practical learning events and the bachelor thesis. Each student can thus achieve a specialisation in his or her field of interest.
