U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The weekdays are always the same within a semester and the days will be communicated well in time before the semester starts. Mandatory face-to-face classes in Innsbruck take two consecutive days. In total there are usually six days of mandatory attendance in Innsbruck per semester (Saturdays included).

Providing a consistent link between science and practice has top priority. Therefore, we provide our students plenty of opportunity to put their newly acquired knowledge to practice, even during their studies. The collaboration with companies and organizations of different sizes and sectors forms one of the cornerstones of the MCI and DiBSE concepts. At our department, we differentiate five different research subunits: Data & Analytics, IT Security & Privacy, Technology Interaction & Innovation, Operational Excellence & Agile Governance and Next World of Work / Virtual & Augmented Reality.

Life Science beteiligt: Energy and Process Technology.

High quality of teaching is guaranteed by excellent lecturers, who do research and/or are working in their field of teaching. Due to small groups, students are able to contact lecturers very easily. In labs and project based classes teaching is very practical oriented & students learn how to apply their knowledge. Our courses are interdisciplinary, innovative and aim to prepare students for their professional career. Next to engineering and management courses we teach our students how to communicate effectively and apply scientific methods to solve problems in their field of work.
