U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The training at the Faculty of Physics is organized in 14 bachelor's and 20 master's programs. The bachelor's degree lasts 4 years (240 ETSC). The first 4 semesters students have studied general physics, mathematics and theoretical physics and several specialized subjects according to the chosen specialty. The rest of the study balance changes in favor of specialized subjects. About 10% to 20% of the subjects can be chosen individually by the students. The experimental courses are equipped with practical exercises in student laboratories. The training ends with the defense of a diploma thesis.

The fundamental objective of the BA Program in European Union and European Integration (EUEI) is to prepare experts who can utilize the Bulgarian experience in the accession processes and EU membership practices who come from outside the EU. It aims at providing knowledge and skills that would allow the graduates to work as experts in European integration issues in their own countries in the areas of specialization provided by the course curriculum. The Program overcomes two potential and significant limitations – of the single discipline and of the excessive regional focus.
