The undergraduate program in DoPA have been constituted by concerning with the theoretical and practical examination of public policy making and the structure and operation of the national and local authorities. The students of DoPA undergraduate program take courses in disciplines such as economics, law, and international relations, in addition to taking courses in the field of public administration. The students are also educated to be individuals having the abilities of writing, discussing, and commenting in their own field.

Just after a year, the department has become active with the appointment of Professor Dr. Erol Güngör, who was a sociologist, as the university rector. Same year in February, with the appointment of academic staff such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Vergin, Assoc. Prof. Bahattin Yediy?ld?z and Prof. Dr. Mahir Kaynak who previously worked in Ankara, the department started undergraduate education and ed its masters program.
