U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) at Al Ahliyya Amman University was established in September 2008 to meet the market demand for qualified civil engineers both locally and regionally. The first (44 students) were admitted in the second semester of the academic year 2008/2009. Since then, an increasing number of students is enrolled in the department every year. Our efforts are focused on providing students with the necessary knowledge and experience that enable them to compete in the labor market of the 21st century.

The department of mathematics started in 1976. Bachelor's program in the two majors of applied mathematics and pure mathematics were also launched which were complemented by an MSc program in pure mathematics in 2000 and a PhD program in mathematics in 2002. The addition of two other majors of statistics and computer sciences to the department along with developments in the number of personnel and facilities led to the promotion of the department to an independent faculty including several departments of its own in 2013. The faculty of mathematical sciences currently has 23 faculty members.

Industrial engineering differs from other branches of engineering in essentially two ways. First, it applies to all types of industrial, commercial, and government activities. Second, it is a branch of engineering that is explicitly concerned with people, products, as well as processes and operations. Industrial engineers learn to make decisions concerning the best use of people, material, and equipment in achieving organizational aims.

The demand for civil engineers has been consistently high, in the Middle East and the Gulf region, during the last decade. Engineers have been involved primarily in large public and private development projects. The emerging reconstruction activity in Lebanon and the Gulf offers ever increasing and expanding opportunities for civil engineers for even decades to come. Graduating civil engineers are benefiting from very stimulating work experiences in the region, many of which are related to mega projects in the building and infrastructure sectors .
