The research activity of the faculty is very rich and includes all major fields of electrical engineering, eg: Research of new drive concepts, sophisticated technologies and components for new generation transport systems, material research with main focus on organic electronics, intelligent sensors and multisensor systems as well as research of new devices and technologies to increase efficiency and optimize electricity and heat production, raw material extraction and industrial technologies. Also research and development of new diagnostic methods and procedures or sophisticated test systems.
