U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Based on continuous quality improvement, the FELU complements its traditional teaching methods with more innovative ones. These more advanced teaching methods actively involve students even more and expose them to real-life business problems. With these measures the programme enhances a student’s learning experience and in most cases also develops their cooperative working skills since the students work in teams.Examples of such more advanced teaching methods include business projects for real-life international companies, the use of case studies, and innovative approaches.

The goal of the undergraduate program of psychology is to give the student basic knowledge and skills from fields of base disciplines, from psychological science and some other sciences connected with psychology. This knowledge is for the professional work, for further education and for the improvement in different forms of postgraduate studies (at a second level of the study of psychology) and for the specific in-service training. The undergraduate level of the study of psychology does not guarantee sufficient professional qualifications to work as a psychologist.

Programme enables students to acquire knowledge for social work with the family in the study process, that requires the integration of concepts into work projects of support and help. Students are provided with new experiences of working with the family on two levels: establishing a working relationship that allows co-creation of original work projects of help, and participating in researching the changes the family needs to achieve the desired outcomes. Programme trains students for specialized social work with families in various content areas and in different institutional contexts.

The programme is based on current concepts of social work and follows the guidelines of the resolution on the national social protection program, strategy for the protection of the elderly. We designed it on the basis of domestic and foreign knowledge about modern demographic trends and their impact on the social attitude towards aging and old age. The program is not only interesting for future graduates of the Faculty of Social Work, but is also open to other professionals who work with older people. In the desire to combine theoretical and practical knowledge, we also included field studies.

This program is the oldest university study in sociology in Slovenia. Our department pays special attention to sociological theory and epistemology of the humanities and to the different fields of (sociology of) culture. All programs include at least 10% of elective courses. All students are also encouraged to finish part of their studies abroad (Erasmus program) and there is a tutoring system offered for students in need of help. In order to ensure quality and efficiency, professors use self-evaluation and students evaluate their quality of teaching annually.

Professors at the Department of Sociology are involved in research work at the department or outside of it – in other research institutions. Currently we have two research groups at the department, funded by the national Research Agency (ARRS). The researchers apply for national and EU funding and the results of their studies are then incorporated into the courses they teach at the sociology program. As much as possible we try to include students in our research projects in order for them to acquire experiences in working on research projects.

The specificity of the program is in its in-depth theoretical approach, which includes knowledge of classical sociological thought and develops analytical bases, leaning on recent epistemological and theoretical progressions in the field. The study initially builds on broad fundamental sociological, social sciences and humanities knowledge, which is developed into specific sociological fields in the higher years. This provides basics for studying the processes of creation of collective identities, national belonging sentiments, cultural divisions etc.

The program is build around the epistemological and methodological content in relation to four study foci: gender studies, media and cultural studies, studies in religion and globalization. The program is designed to offer students a wide knowledge in social sciences and humanities, aiming primarily at theoretical deepening of the chosen study focus. Students acquire skills needed for managing, organizing, analyzing and researching contemporary cultural and social phenomena. The program is particularly attentive to the interdisciplinary nature of the topics studied and analyzed.
