U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The keywords defining the teaching and learning profile are: electric machines and drives, industrial automation, power electronics, electric power generation, transmission and distribution systems, renewable sources and automotive. In the 1st year, students learn about electrical engineering basics. From the 2nd year, courses in electronics, electromagnetic fields, electrical apparatus and equipment, power systems automation and protection are taught. In these a great importance is paid to modern technology (IoT, IIoT, LPWA etc.)

It is based on knowledge corresponding to the use of advanced technologies in power systems control considering the deregulated power market environment. Its multidisciplinary character is reflected in two ways. The 1st refers to the use of artificial intelligence, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers based systems, computer aided power systems analysis and optimization and modern control and protection systems. The 2nd refers to basic training related to power quality, complete synchronous generator modelling, power systems expansion and congestion management.

The undergraduate electrical engineering program is structured in such way that the first year of the curriculum is devoted to establishing a foundation in mathematics and physics, which is essential to the study of electrical engineering. In other courses, students learn about electrical engineering principles such as circuits and digital systems. In the second and third years, students focus on the subjects that form the core of electrical engineering. During the fourth year, students complete a senior design project as part of the graduation requirements.

The continuous demands of society for new and low consumption/high power engines and alternative powertrain systems for vehicles were decisive to prepare young engineers in this field. Using optimization analysis and advances modeling and simulation techniques will be improved the present solution with new ones and will be developed alternative powertrain, using hybrids or full electricvehicles, with all the main and auxiliary parts. Practical specific applications and research activities in our own laboratories or with industry are strongly implemented.

The mission of the study program has two components: a didactic and a research one. The didactic mission consists in consolidating the professional knowledge regarding the design, operation and maintenance of hydraulic machines and equipment. For achieving this, the student will acquire the “know how” and extensive knowledge in using the software for sizing, designing, simulation and numerical analysis, for optimizing the flows and the geometric shapes that compete in obtaining high-efficiency equipment. The research mission consists in training the students as researchers and designers.
