Students learn to create different kinds of maps: cadastre and topographic plans and maps and data for GIS, use geodetic, photogrammetric, cartographic equipment and software, including electronic tachometers, digital geodetic levels, digital photogrammetric stations, GPS. Studying land management provides students with a broad overview of the biological, economic, and social components of managing natural resources and environmental impacts. Students are trained to apply principles to manage grasslands and wetlands, agro forestry, sustainable agriculture, and other ecosystems.
