U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Future electrical/electronic engineers study here who will solve high quality tasks in the field of design, manufacture and operation of electric and electronic appliances, equipment and facilities. This qualification ensures competence for performing measurement, evaluation, control and management tasks in the field of electricity. Apart from learning the bases of electrical and electronic engineering within the frame of the study at our institution the students will become members of a technology society involving them in complex projects and developments already during the university years.

The course is 7 semesters, "210 credits", full-time and part-time. In addition to the basic engineering knowledge, the entire spectrum of environmental protection is equally weighted in the core curriculum, so up-to-date expertise can be acquired. Students can deepen their knowledge in 3 specialisations after the 4th semester. Specialist knowledge is supported by professionally recognised practising engineers. The training can also take the form of dual training (in cooperation between an industrial company and a university), so that professional experience can be gained from the beginning.

Practice-oriented, thanks to its extensive laboratory environment, and aims to apply solid theoretical foundations in practice. The programme offers 2 specialisations: building services engineering and mechanical and process engineering, giving students an insight into the results of several research areas, e.g. comfort analysis with thermal manikins, energy impact of green roofs, additive and welding technologies, steel structures, etc. The mechanical engineering departments are also linked to other disciplines, such as health engineering, comfort parameters in translational medicine.

The curriculum is made up of project-based, higher-credit courses, which in themselves introduce students to the methods of dealing with and solving a particular problem. The focus is on the application of the basic sciences in a professional context, solving problems formulated in line with real-world industrial needs. Emphasis will be placed on aspects and methods of sustainability in an ecological and economical sense. The research background and the teaching staff of the course overlap with those of the basic training.
