Pedagogical principles of Blended, Active and Work-integrated Learning (WIL) are used in an appropriate flexible ecosystem. Group activities, discussions and practical sessions train students to take the active role while teachers as facilitators. Project/problem-based instruction and use of actual research in lessons immerse them to the latest innovations. Conversely, WIL immerses the students in a 16-week (600 hours) hands-on training in industries, companies or state agencies they want to join after graduation not to mention the use of play+learn (plearn) to jumpstart students' creativity.

Research focuses on web application development and mobile applications with emphasis on research that addresses community/industry problems/needs such as the development of information systems to promote sustainable community agro-business, start-ups, SMEs, and research related to health and the elderly. Recently, we shited to acquiring government and private competitive research funds to align our research outputs with the national agenda and the outputs serve as sources of latest innovations and trends for potential upskilling-reskilling of our academic staff, students, and the public.

Teaching-learning activities are strongly based on the principles of Active Learning, Problem-based Learning and Work-integrated Learning that problematise and address the concerns/issues in various sectors in an integrated, holistic manner. Through this pedagogical philosophy, the programme focuses on producing skilled software developers, systems analysts, web admins, etc. of any sector (manufacturing, health, services, government, etc.) while simultaneously developing students' practical, problem-solving, collaborative, critical thinking, creativity and professional communication skills.

Master of Nursing in Community Health Practitioner

The curriculum provides students with both theoretical and practical knowledge with the inclusion of current trends and latest innovations in the nursing profession through various modes of teaching and learning. Subjects are taught both by the teaching of the university and by invited professionals in the field to make sure that students are equipped with the latest knowledge and innovations in the nursing profession.

All academic staff is required to conduct research in their chosen field of specialization either individually or with their peers. In the curriculum, a subject is dedicated to research, so students are honed not only to conduct research but also to be able to read current issues and trends in the field of nursing.

The BSN program develops all the areas of specialization of the nursing profession with emphasis on community nursing to fulfill the mission of the university which is "to pursue knowledge to serve society". Graduates of the course are able to work not only in hospitals and healthcare centers but also in professions that call for community involvement and services. Undergraduate research studies are focused on community services particularly on how to improve healthcare promotion and healthy living. The goal of the Doctor of Pharmacy program is to provide students with a high standard of skills and knowledge. The graduates can work in any career setting including hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research laboratories, academic institutes, and community settings. In the first three years, the program provides a strong foundation of basic pharmaceutical sciences, pre-clinical pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy. In the last year, the curriculum concludes with advanced professional training in industrial pharmacy or in pharmacy practice at hospitals and community settings.

Students have opportunities to conduct research during the course of study. The students are provided the resources and research environment to work on selected special projects. The development of research skills and professional vitality give them the capability for lifelong learning and deal with the changes in pharmaceutical science and practice. Our academic staff’s research interests are medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical product development, botanical drugs, cosmetics delivery, pharmacology, and clinical pharmacy.

The PharmD curriculum is a 6-year program designed to produce graduates with high standards. In the first 4 years, the program provides a strong basic foundation in pharmaceutical science and clinical pharmacy. In the 5th year, the curriculum is divided into 2 paths; students may choose based on interests. Pharmaceutical care emphasizes student-centered learning through teaching in classes and wards to strengthen knowledge of the pharmaceutical needs of patients. Pharmaceutical science offers courses on scientific know-how to make medicinal products, dosage form designs, and formulations.

Master of Social Work in Social Welfare Administration Doctor of Philosophy in Social Welfare Administration

The bachelor degree provides theoretical and practical lessons with actual practice (Casework, Group work, Counseling, Community work, Case Management, Techniques in actual practices, etc.). The master's degree focuses on theoretical and practical teaching in social welfare administration. The doctoral degree focuses on research for the development of social welfare policy.

The curriculum focuses on 4 specialisations: Medical Social Work, Criminal Social Work, Family and Child Social Work, and Disasters Social Work. For practical relevance, the curriculum is divided into 3 paths: Paths 1 and 2 focus on basic operational practice (Case Work, Group Work and Community Work); path 3 focuses on specialised training in Medical, Criminal, Family and Child, and Disasters Social Work. We strongly foster an interdisciplinary orientation through teaching and learning management that promote awareness and understanding while working with multidisciplinary teams.
