The Biochemistry Degree at UAM is committed to achieve the best scientific training to their students. By means of master classes and special emphasis in wet laboratories, students are exposed to the most relevant areas of biochemistry and molecular biology. Students learn from the basic principles of biochemical interactions to the newest advances in biomedicine and applied biochemistry. They perform their final degree project in one of the top bioresearch institutes in the surrounding of our campus where they have their first real-life contact with research.

The Master in Biomolecules and Cellular Dynamics is aimed at preparing students to develop a research career in the area of Molecular and Cellular Biology and its applications. The programme is aimed at training professionals dedicated to management and decision-making in companies and other organisations. Students will receive interdisciplinary training on the performance of the company and its economic environment. They will deepen in the study of the organization and business strategy, in the functional areas of financing, marketing, accounting, human resources and taxation, as well as in understanding the performance of markets and acquiring mathematical tools and statistics to analyse business information.

This programme educates managers to successfully developing marketing strategies, related with market research, consumer behaviour, brand, price, distribution and promotion. It consists of 90 ECTS credits in three semesters. The professors belong primarily to the Departamento de Financiación e Investigación Comercial, responsible for the organization of programme. These engineers play a key role in companies because they combine technological capabilities with knowledge of management. They can work in positions where both management and technology are very important. Their profile is oriented to the development of information systems, system analysis, control and management of computer science projects, as well as to the creation, management and maintenance of databases, the management of projects related to e-commerce and the performance of information technology audits. Due to their multipurpose nature, they use to occupy positions of team management.
