Bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering) are eminently practical, which means that, in general, approximately half of the teaching in each subject is given in small groups, laboratory groups and computer groups. All degrees have the possibility of external internships in companies and institutions, being mandatory in three degrees. An external internship (minimum of 270 horas) in companies or institutions is mandatory. During their final year students develop individual capstone projects that involve a comprehensive engineering design project in which acquired competencies are combined. Students are required to successfully defend their projects in a final oral examination.

The departments and research groups are responsible for research, not the centres and faculties. The three departments closest to the Faculty, namely the Department of Agriculture and Food, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and the Department of Chemistry, host a total of 23 research groups in their respective fields of specialisation. This is a diverse and in many cases multidisciplinary research. There are also (independent) research centres, most notably the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences.;Escuela de Máster y Doctorado de la UR:Departments are responsible for research. The departments involved in this Master’s degree (Dept. of Agriculture and Food, Dept. of Economics and Business, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Dept. of Human Sciences) host a total of 30 research groups in their respective fields of specialisation. Research in Agricultural Sciences and in Food Science & Technology is particularly relevant. There are also independent research centers, most notably the Institute of Grapevine and Wine Sciences.

It provides advanced training in a wide range of subjects ranging from general management, to finance, marketing, economics or research techniques. The teaching period consists of 30 ECTS of compulsory and optional training, plus the subject of Management skills and advanced business management topics (6 ECS, which is a forum for meeting professionals, managers and entrepreneurs, instrumentalized through conferences, seminars, workshops, visits to companies) On the other hand, the “Business Practices” (9 ECTS) and the “Master’s End Work” (15 ECTS) complete the practical training of the master.
