Theoretical classes take place in 7 different classrooms, 3 of which have maximum 79-pax capacity, while the other 4 have a maximum 49-pax capacity. there are a further 8 classrooms with capacities ranging from 14 to 40 pax for Seminars in smaller groups. Pre-clinical practicals take place in 2 Laboratories with 68 and 22 workstations for students, respectively.

The fundamental objective of the degree is to train professionals with an adequate knowledge of the sciences on which Medicine is based and with the ability to indicate and carry out activities aimed at promoting, maintaining and recovering health, but also professionals trained humanly, socially and ethically to face and adapt efficiently to the challenges posed by medical practice in a globalized world, also preserving the identity and heterogeneity required by the geopolitical division of its inhabitants, from the respect of fundamental rights and equality between men and women.

In the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Seville, two types of research are roughly carried out: Basic investigation Clinical research This research is carried out mainly in our Departments, University Hospitals (Virgen Macarena, Virgen del RocÃo and Virgen Valme) and in Research Centers such as the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (Cabimer) and the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS). They carry out research "in vitro" and "in vivo" in different biological systems used to expand knowledge of pathophysiology and improve the diagnosis of diseases.
