Facultad de Economia, Empresa y Turismo The Faculty of Economics, Business & Tourism is a teaching, research & administrative management organization responsible for the definition, organization, coordination & control of education aimed at obtaining undergraduate & graduate degrees in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, & Tourism. In this sense, it offers three degrees linked to these areas, double degrees between business administration & tourism with other degrees.

Facultad de Economia, Empresa y Turismo Research areas are mainly in the Economy & Business Administration fields, especially focused on the Tourism Economics. Some other areas of interest within the Economy are Transport, Financial Markets, Health, Education, Labor Market & Applied Bayesian statistical techniques. In the filed of Business Administration some of the areas of research are Digital firm, Entrepreneurship, Consumer behavior, Strategic Management, Organizations & people.

The focus of the Degree in Business Administration and Management is to train professionals capable of performing management, advice and evaluation tasks in productive organizations. These tasks are carried out in the global scope of the company or in any of its functional areas: production, human resources, finance, marketing, investment, administration or accounting. Specifically, you should know how to identify and anticipate opportunities, allocate resources, organize information, select and motivate people, make decisions, achieve proposed objectives and evaluate results.

In the degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources offered by the ULPGC, students will learn to master different skills and techniques in career counselling, staff management, work organisation, and management and mediation in the job market. This qualification, which is noteworthy due to its interdisciplinary nature (addressing almost all social sciences) responds to clear professional profiles that include, among others, human resources directors, social graduates, labour mediators, and prevention delegates.

The degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering mainly aims to educate the individual to practice the profession of industrial engineering in the specialisation of Industrial Chemistry. It has both a generalist and specialist nature. On the one hand, a degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering must provide training in the wide range of activities an industrial engineer currently undertakes, while also providing a high level of specialised education, as required by the job market. The profession is a regulated profession in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree CIN/351/2009
