Founded in 1972, the "Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria Agrària" (ETSEA) is reference in Spain in agriculture, food, forestry and veterinary sciences and engineering. The ETSEA offers 4 BSc degrees, 2 BSc double-degrees, 8 MSc degrees (including 2 Erasmus Mundus in forestry) and 2 doctoral programs with a distinction of Excellence. Our teaching staff is made up of 250 academics assigned to seven departments. During their education at ETSEA our 1,300 students receive extensive practical training, which includes secondments in regional companies relevant to each sector.

ETSEA stands out for the quality and impact of its research activity. The centre has 17 research groups and AGROTECNIO, a CERCA centre attached to the University. Plant biotechnology, integrated crop protection, animal health and production, food safety and technology, precision agriculture, horticulture, forest, soil and water management are some of the relevant research areas. Due to its scientific excellence, ETSEA leads the field of Life Sciences among the Catalan institutions and it is highly ranked among the similar centres in Spain and southern Europe.

This Inter-university MSc program responds to the rapid transformation of the swine production sector in recent years. The sector requires highly specialised professionals in each production system, able to keep up-to-date with EU regulations. Food safety, environmental management, intensive and organic production, animal welfare, animal breeding, and a broad knowledge of the international markets and economics are some of the topics covered by the training plan. The 60 ECTS one-year hybrid-learning program combines face-to-face lessons with lecturer-guided online activities.

The Master's Degree Program in Engineering Management is composed of the Master´s Degree in Industrial Engineering and the Master´s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). FACULTAD DE DERECHO, ECONOMÍA Y TURISMO The Faculty of Law, Economics and Tourism is one of the UdL’s best established faculties in terms of tradition and student numbers. FACULTAD DE DERECHO, ECONOMÍA Y TURISMO The faculty participates in the program of doctorate in Law and Business Administration that includes the following research lines: 1) Administration of companies and financial information; 2) International Public Law, International Relations and European Union Law, 3) Criminal Justice System and victimology 4) Civil law and administrative law. These research lines are endorsed by half a dozen research groups and their corresponding projects in the legal field as well as in the field of economy, business and tourism.

The Degree in Business Administration & Management has a generalist focus resulting from the reflection process made with representatives from private & public local institutions, from the results of the opinion polls about labour market insertion & from the reflections included in the strategic plan of the Faculty of Law, Economics & Tourism (FDET). Since the business sector in Lleida & its environment is mostly made up of small- & medium-sized enterprises, the Degree provides extensive training so that graduates acquire a broader underst&ing of the way in which businesses operates.

The Degree in Tourism offers a qualification in order to meet the demand for professionals in the sector. It will enable graduates to pursue a career anywhere they wish to do so. It also offers students the opportunity to take a specialisation in the types of tourism developed in the inner parts of destination Catalonia, such as the Pyrennees, where activities related to rural, natural and mountain tourism, as well as, cultural, are in full expansion.
