U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Training of experts capable of diagnosing biodiversity conservation problems and addressing possible solutions. Biodiversity is the variety of life in all its forms and levels of organization, including the ecological and evolutionary processes that maintain it, so the training of experts capable of applying transversal approaches is required. The Master reflects this need for integration thanks to the collaboration of departments and specialists linked to the field of conservation.

This training has a strong taxonomic basis and is complemented by other aspects of the study and management of animal species that may be useful for the professional insertion of graduates in the field of the environment, health, agri-food, etc. The interest of this approach focused on the study and management of fauna would be justified for three reasons: the need for this knowledge, its scientific validity, and its training demand. High-quality and interesting investigations are developed in this Master.

Research activity is carried out in the Faculty's laboratories. All of them are equipped with high-level instrumental, technical and computer equipment, which allows highly specialised research to be carried out, as justified by the numerous annual publications in specialised journals of high impact in all areas of chemistry. Activities (seminars, conferences, colloquiums, instrumentation courses, etc.) are held on a permanent basis in order to encourage vocations among students and collaborations between professors from different departments.

The Master is aimed at students seeking a professional future in: research in the fields of Chemical Science and Technology, university teaching and industrial sector (food, paint, cosmetics, plastics, metallurgy, etc.). The first two are the main ones, in terms of occupation, and hence this Master Degree has an academic and research orientation. The Master will enable graduates to access a subsequent PhD and to develop their future research activity in public or private organizations or centers, as well as in the chemical industry. The Master provides advanced training to teach and research.

The Degree in Biology offers a multidisciplinary and integrative training including areas such as ecology, cell and molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology or evolutionary biology. The studies include a strong component of practicals (laboratory, field sampling, computers...), which complements a solid theoretical training, with research as a key element. The aim is to provide future biologists with the conceptual and methodological tools to diagnose, analyse and search for solutions to key challenges of our society (climate, biodiversity, health care, sustainable energy, food production).

The teaching staff of the Computer Science School combines teaching and research activity through its participation in the 17 research groups, covering a large number of areas of interest in computer research at the international level. All the teachers participate in competitive research projects funded by the Spanish Government and the European institutions. It is interesting to mention the great success of our researchers in the calls of the European Union within the program Horizon 2020. The research groups collaborate with more than 100 universities worldwide, mainly from UE and USA.

This Masters is a general master focused on the field of the Internet of Things. It provides training in the configuration of basic installations of sensors and gateways, their connection with different types of network, the deployment of infrastructure in the cloud and the processing of data on it. Basic training is also included in security and legal aspects that affect this type of systems. There will be available devices from different manufacturers, to ensure that the student receives an independent market training, but at the same time connected with the trends in this area.

Teaching in the Dental School focuses on Stomatology and its clinical specialties, and encompasses the essential scientific foundations and basic disciplines common to all branches of medicine, as well as the theory and technical skills needed for present-day clinical specialties in Dentistry. The strong theoretical focus of the teaching can be applied directly by students via the public dental health care service offered by the Dental School, which is the best way for students to test theory and skills and prepare for their future careers.

The research career of most students generally begins after graduation when they begin the Master or PhD in Dental Sciences. Both degrees have a pure research profile. Current research lines are led by Faculty members from the Dental School and associated Schools and cover the main fields of dental research from a clinical, biological, physical and community perspective. There is a high level of translational funding, including industry-funded resources (Cátedra Extraordinaria) and participation in competitive calls of the main national and international research agencies.

The Master is aimed at providing students with a sound background in the research methodology and skills associated with the specific research lines developed in our Dental School. The MDS comprises a theoretical and a practical part, culminating in a thesis based on an original piece of research that must be defended orally before a panel of three experienced researchers. The particular research lines developed in the Degree include all the clinical areas and basic sciences that apply to dental medicine, taking an essentially biological, physical and community perspective.

The Master is of a professional nature, although it also prepares the student for research. TIG tools and technologies are widely used both in private companies and in public administrations to work in areas as diverse as the environment and natural resources, land management, natural risk prevention, urban planning, transport planning and management, public services planning, geomarketing, cartography and 3D modeling. Recently, TIG applications are being developed to analyze “the fingerprint” of human activities from the geospatial treatment of massive data or Big Data.

The University Master's Degree in History of the Hispanic Monarchy offers students the possibility to study the global presence of the Monarchy of Spain monographically from renewed socio-economic, cultural and political perspectives. Contextualizes the great Spanish and Hispanic cultural heritage generated between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries. It enables the analysis of processes that are crucial in shaping modern societies. It allows advanced knowledge of the historical lexicon typical of the fifteenth to nineteenth centuries leading to the avoidance of uncritical actualities.

Statistics is, without a doubt, a tool of the first magnitude in solving problems in very different areas of business, industrial and administrative activity. It is difficult to achieve quality training in Statistics in a dispersed way in various degrees, while a specific degree in Mathematics and Statistics allows you to achieve this training. In this Grade, teaching involve: propose, analyze, validate and interpret models of situations in which stochastic phenomena occur using the statistical-mathematical tools more adequate; and develop and use software for statistics and graphic display.

Both, as a basic scientific discipline and for its applications, Physics is the basis for many scientific disciplines and technology. Its contributions to knowledge have revolutionized our understanding of the world. This Degree is aimed at providing a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts and methods of Physics, but also at teaching the new findings of the recent years. This double aspect provides the student with an excellent intellectual stimulus and a wide-ranging professional qualification, consistent with the increasingly broad spectrum of job opportunities.

The Degree in Criminology´s curriculum is oriented to the analysis of crime from an empirical and multidisciplinary approach. In that sense, this Degree serves as much a bridge between legal operators, therapists and specialists in behavioral sciences as to distinguish crime, victimization and the social and legal response to crime from different scopes (that is, in local, national and international contexts). The Degree is divided into modules that reflect its interdisciplinary orientation in social sciences, legal and health sciences, and its practical projection.
