The School has its degrees divided by three groups: Agricultural Engineering, Computer Engineering and Industrial Engineering. These occupational works are the most requested by the business sector of our geographical area. All students must do a secondment during two-month in a company before obtaining their degree. The number of the group for the lessons is small and a lot of importance is given to the practical aspects with each course. There is a personal tutoring program, which provides to the student academic information as well as professional orientation for his/her future.

The academic staff of our School work in research projects related to the business activity of the area: intensive agriculture and its infrastructures, renewable energies as well as the stone industry. Most of these projects are financed by national or international institutions, and allow the academic staff to improve the infrastructures and teaching laboratories. These aspects stimulate teaching a lot because Master's and Degree’s students can also participate in these research projects through scholarships as well as end-of-degree or master's degree projects.

The Degree in Agricultural Engineering provides graduates with theorecal and praccal training to cover agricultural issues from various fields of knowledge, in order to apply them in the design, planning and management of fruit and vegetable farms, in agricultural producon, in rural engineering, as well as in the analysis, design and management of food processing and conservaon industries. The degree maintains an important relaonship with many companies in the sector, offering its students extensive possibilies for business pracces during their studies.

The teaching profile is a new framework for training our students in a science focused on the transition to sustainability, with a new perspective to address socio-ecosystem-focused environmental problems, interaction the natural and social system at different scales and in the eco-management and governance applied both to ecosystem components and to activities and companies. This objective is achieved with a strong coordination of the teaching team, which has a multidisciplinary nature.

The research of the groups and teachers deals with relevant lines such as global change, ecosystem services, resilience and adaptation to climate change, as well as research related to the main economic activities of Almería, biodiversity and geodiversity, bioremediation and biodegradation and sustainable management of water resources, soil and aquatic ecosystems.

The Double Degree in Civil Engineering and Technical Architecture provides graduates with the comprehensive training necessary to be able to address all aspects related to construction, both in building and in civil works. These sectors are strategic for the development of an advanced society. The student takes a study plan to obtain the two Bachelor's degrees, fulfilling all the requirements established in the verified reports of each of the Bachelor's Degrees. Students can study in English up to 90 credits of the Double Degree belonging to the Civil Engineering Study Plan.

The Master offers three academic options. The program required one full-time year. The Master Thesis (9 ECTS) is mandatory. The aim of this Qualifying Master's Degree is to give continuity to the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering.
