U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Management and Geography is aimed at applicants with a bachelor in business, economics, geography or a related discipline who would like to specialize in tourism and regional planning. In this four-semester program leading up to a Master of Science degree, students gain in-depth knowledge and a range of subject-specific and core skills in a highly interesting and complex sociocultural and economic field: tourism. The program also enables to understand regional development in tourism and their complexity by drawing on theories and models from social sciences, economics and management research.

Students acquire knowledge on how to analyze problems on a local and regional level and develop appropriate solutions. Links to practice are an important part of the program. Measurements are taken in the field using state-of-the-art technology such as terrestrial laser scanning, and then analyzed in the geography laboratory and processed using geographical information systems. The KU offers students a modern degree program with individual support and small working groups. The degree program builds on the research focus areas in Physical Geography at the KU.

OUR USP is a sound combination of "traditional" topics and innovative specialisations. Our students are taught key theory by our nationally and internationally renowned professors, while a share of seminars with a more practice-related outlook is delivered by qualified lecturers from outside of academia. In combination with a mandatory practice semester instructed by there faculty this fosters the theory-practice-transfer and provides excellent job prospects for our graduates in the social sector and beyond. Familiar atmosphere and close contact to lecturers provides attractive environment.
