U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

Research takes place on several occasions, especially in some specific modules. The research has a wide range of topics in the fields of personnel, health, neuro- and sports psychology. Our students already experience research themselves directly in their studies: in the first semesters, however, they are still guided whereas later applied research is a natural part of the teaching content in many modules, in some cases also together with the teaching staff. In addition, the teachers themselves conduct research on different topics from the above-mentioned areas.

The SRH Heidelberg University enables students to deal with the variety of professional requirements that social work means in practice and that cannot be handled by theoretical knowledge alone. In dealing with concrete practical examples, students will not only acquire action competence. They will examine critically how social inequality arises and learn to position themselves accordingly. Students expand their personal skills by specific intervention strategies and methods of exerting political influence.
