U-Multirank's unique 'Sunburst chart' gives an illustration of a university's performance profile across the five U-Multirank dimensions. These are indicated in different colours. For instance, the teaching and learning dimension is symbolised by the colour green. Each 'sunray' represents one of the thirty plus U-Multirank indicators. The longer the ray, the better the performance of an institution on the selected indicator: a full-length ray stands for 'top group' performance, whereas a short ray means 'weak' performance. A missing sunray indicates that the specific data indicator is not available. An institution's performance in an indicator can be identified by moving the cursor over the rays. A key guard for the sunburst chart is provided here .

The bachelor's degree has an extensive minor that provides an early interdisciplinary qualification. This can be further developed in the Master's degree within the framework of interdisciplinary studies. In both degree courses, project seminars introduce students to project work via research-based learning. The LearningCenter Informatik offers professional, methodical and technical support for students of computer science in their first to third semester. The aim of the LearningCenter Informatik is to facilitate the transition from school to university, especially for first-year students.

The bachelor's degree in computer science provides the analytical, creative, and constructive skills for the new and further development of hardware and software systems. The main focus is on theoretically well-founded concepts and methods that are intended to enable graduates to develop their qualifications for a lifetime. The bachelor's degree course, with its extensive minor subject, a compulsory project seminar, and the sector of "general studies", lays the foundation for an early interdisciplinary professional qualification.

The research-oriented master’s degree in computer science deepens and broadens the computer science knowledge of the graduates. It offers students a wide range of options, which allows them to set their own priorities according to their interests and inclinations. The main focus is on theoretically substantiated concepts and methods that are long-term beyond current trends. A series of compulsory modules and minimum requirements in defined areas ensure a sufficient breadth of the course and the skills acquired.

The WWU Münster has a long tradition in mathematical teaching and research. Students of mathematics benefit from a broad and intensive mathematical education by about 45 professors of mathematics. A dedicated Learning Center provides bachelor's students with additional support outside of regular classes. Our English Master's degree course offers very flexible choices from eleven different specialisations and various interdisciplinary courses and introduces students individually to ongoing research.

The Cluster of Excellence "Mathematics Münster" with its three main research areas - Arithmetic and Groups, Spaces and Operators, Models and Approximations - and the Collaborative Research Centre "Deformations and Rigidity" combine Münster's strengths in a broad range of areas in theoretical and applied mathematics, and they further intensify the exchange between traditionally specialised disciplines. Mathematicians from Münster have already been awarded four Leibniz Prizes, two Alexander von Humboldt Professorships, two ERC Grants and a Max Planck Research Award.

In the English-language M.Sc. Mathematics Münster programme, students receive an excellent and research-oriented mathematical education. The programme is characterized by a very broad range of courses with 8 focal points (see homepage of the programme: https://www.uni-muenster.de/FB10/mscmathematics/). The course of studies can be designed very flexibly, especially with regard to the weighting between theoretical and applied mathematics. It is possible to take additional mathematical courses instead of a minor.

Together with the Master of Arts of the same name, the Bachelor of Arts forms a German-French study programme that leads to 3 degrees in 5 years (German BA & MA, French diploma). Besides Political Science, legal, economic and historical fundamentals are studied before a focus is chosen from a variety of interdisciplinary specializations. The students will discuss the role of Germany, France and Europe in the light of global economic, social and ecological challenges. They study alternately at Sciences Po Lille and WWU Münster.
